How to Make a Time-Lapse Video
EPISODE 126
I'll just make a quick video for Instagram. It'll be easy. 5 hours later and with much cursing, I had nothing. Well actually, I did have some footage of the back of my head and some interesting shadows!
If this sounds all too familiar, stay tuned! This week, Richie is taking over the mic and sharing his skills and knowledge as a videographer. Don’t worry though, it’s not super techy!
This is the Keep it Simple approach to making a time-lapse video. Richie takes you through every step including setting up your equipment, finding good light, taking high-quality footage and even how to edit the video once you are done.
Speaking of video, Richie has also created a little video to accompany this podcast so you can really see what is going on. Scroll down to watch.
We hope that this week’s podcast and accompanying video makes the process simple and accessible. It is such a wonderful way to share your art!

INTERESTED IN FURTHERING YOUR VIDEO SKILLS?
Richie and I are looking into the idea of creating a short course called Video for Artists.
Whether you are looking to get the attention of collectors, galleries, students, licensing agents and brands, there is no denying the power of video.
The course will give you the skills and confidence to create all kinds of video content from quick time-lapses on Instagram right through to online tutorials.
If this sounds like something that might of interest to you, make sure you add your name to the list. If we have the numbers, Richie and I will get to work!!
